As a musician, you%u2019re taught and reminded often how important the rests are in the music.
The silence between the notes is every bit as important as the sound itself.
We talk a lot these days.
And when you find yourself overwhelmed,
Wondering what to say next,
It might be a good time to just sit back and listen for a while.
I loved this simple, but thoughtful post from Altitude Branding.
From a social media standpoint you can benefit the most often by just listening to what others have to say. Sure you can promote your blog and tell people what you ate for lunch every once in awhile, but you can learn so much just by listening in. As my former co-worker Kipp Bodnar always reminded me, there is so much free, valuable information being passed around on the internet, why not use it to your advantage and learn as much as you can.
The silence between the Tweets, or blog posts, or status updates can really hold the most value, as long as you are willing to listen.
